Tissue World Americas 2014 has opened its show doors and kicked off its second day of conference sessions with the launch of the Tissue Retailers and Distribution Insight Forum (TRIF).

The first day of exhibiting companies opened with a total of 173 businesses on the show floor – an impressive 44 more compared to Tissue World Americas 2012.

They cover a net space of 30.200 sq ft, compared to 19.400 in 2012.

Some 51 new companies are exhibiting for the first time this year, a result of a pick up in the American tissue, an increase in tissue plant investments and environmental issues creating demand for new technologies.

The launch of TRIF has also been a key influence in the increase in number of exhibitors, with speakers from Neilsen, WWF, Greenpeace, American Paper Converting and many more.

TRIF brings the whole supply chain together and enables tissue managers to get unique value-chain insight.

It is specifically designed for retailers and AfH distributors, as well as all other players in the business, that can now get complete and in-depth insight into the entire tissue value chain, from fibres to consumers.
