Kemira increases the price of inorganic coagulants across EMEA region

Kemira has increased the price of its inorganic coagulants in the EMEA region.

Iron coagulants will increase between 8-15% and aluminum coagulants will increase between 4-6%, varying based on geographic region and product type.

The hike is effective across all segments and became effective as of 1 February.

The company said that recent economic rebounds and positive developments in many downstream markets have led to “very substantial cost increases”.

It added that as a result, costs of key raw materials keep increasing significantly driven by strong demand and limited availability.

Additionally, it said that increased freights, regulatory compliance requirements and Brexit-related costs made the hike necessary.
