Georgia-Pacific (GP) has boosted its North American production facilities after completing an expansion project at its GP PRO facility in Wisconsin.
The company said the $7m project “enhanced safety and increased production capacity” on a key a perforated roll towel (PRT) line to meet growing market demand.
The Green Bay-based site manufactures tissue and paper products for GP PRO and the company’s consumer brands.
Julie Howard, vice president and general manager of GP PRO’s towel, skin care, and air care categories, said: “PRT is an essential cleaning tool that was surging in demand during 2020.
“It was aiding schools, hospitals, restaurants, and offices in becoming clean and safer for opening and operating.”
GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific, manufactures and sells branded products for restroom, foodservice, and breakroom needs in office buildings, healthcare, foodservice, high-traffic and retail facilities.
