Tissue World São Paulo 2019’s conference will unlock opportunities for sustainable success in the region’s most dynamic tissue markets.

Latin America’s tissue industry has exciting further potential thanks to the abundant skills, resources and appetite for progress in a region which has an average annual growth rate of 4%.

But how to shape sustainable success despite local challenges? And what are the key ingredients that turn these challenges into opportunities?

According to the key speaker on 22 October, Esko Uutela, principal, Fastmarkets RISI: “Tissue demand is on a good growth track throughout the continent, with only a few exceptions.

“But the number of players is high and investment activity run on high tours, so the landscape is very competitive for suppliers and margins under pressure with increasing production costs and inflexible tissue prices in these conditions.”

Another key speaker, Felipe Quintino, chief executive of Tissue Online in Brazil, will share how to differentiate in the tissue paper market by adding new values to tissue brands and products.

He will stimulate critical thinking at creative and operational levels in order to understand this new world of buyers and consumers, where generational shifts are increasingly being studied and interpreted in terms of what manufacturers can offer to the consumers.

Conference moderator Lairton Goulart Leonardi, managing director, Solvo Consulting, Brazil, says the conference is “the right place for discussions to outline our future and define how innovations will contribute to create new products and new processes even more competitive”.

More than 20 speakers will share their knowledge over the three days, including chief executives of industry players, research companies, sustainability experts, and leading paper and tissue industry bodies.
