Turkish tissue manufacturer Essel Kağıt has signed for the turnkey supply of a high-performance AHEAD 2.2L tissue line at its Osmaniye mill.
Supplied by Toscotec, the line has a net trim width of 5.7m and start-up is scheduled for autumn 2021.
The machinery supplier said it will be “Turkey’s biggest tissue machine”, adding: “With 270 tonnes per day it will also set the national record for highest production capacity.”
It will be completed by two OPTIMA slitter rewinders, Toscotec’s new rewinder line with tension and nip control for high quality winding.

The line features a fully hydraulic TT Headbox ML-T with dilution control, a third generation TT SYD with optimised geometry for maximum heat transfer efficiency, TT NextPress shoe press technology, and high-recovery gas fired TT Hoods designed for cogeneration upgrade.
Founded in 2005, Essel Cellulose and Paper Industry manufactures tissue jumbo rolls for tissue paper converters.
