Global pulp and tissue giant Suzano has announced a range of pulp price increases taking place globally during October.

Prices in Europe and the Americas will rise by $50 per metric tonne and by $20 per tonne in Asia.

A spokesperson for the company told TWM: “Suzano has made the price increases because of factors currently shaping pricing dynamics in the global market.

“These include a seasonal improvement in demand globally, mainly in Asia, Chinese buyers replenishing their hardwood pulp inventories, and delays to new pulp capacity which was initially forecast for 2026.”
