Germany’s Fripa – Papierfabrik Albert Friedrich has commissioned Voith to deliver a production line for its Miltenberg site.

The line will produce high-quality tissue paper and is designed for an operating speed of 2,100 metres per minute, producing 36,000 metric tonnes of high-quality toilet and towel paper annually.

Start-up of the line by the high-quality tissue manufacturer is scheduled for the end of 2014.

In designing the paper production process, particular importance was accorded to low energy consumption and low water and wastewater values. According to Fripa managing partner Verena Queck-Glimm, the NipcoFlex T shoe press was a key factor as the need for thermal energy can then be “substantially reduced”.

The new paper machine will be equipped with other energy-efficient components and systems.
