Paper Mill Investment (PMI) has invested in an Andritz-supplied PrimeLineCOMPACT tissue machine with Steel Yankee and shoe press.

The new plant will produce high-quality facial wipes as well as toilet and towel papers.

Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018 and the line has a design speed of 2,000 metres per minute, and a paper width of 2.85m.

The order includes a complete Andritz stock preparation for virgin pulp with a capacity of 135bdmt/day.

The tissue machine is equipped with the latest ANDRITZ shoe press technology (PrimePress XT Evo) while the 16ft PrimeDry Yankee is made entirely of steel.

PMI is a new paper manufacturing company founded by people with a history of paper making industry.

The company’s expansion plans include further paper mills in several countries in the MENA region.
