“We have delivered a solid second quarter in a volatile market environment,” Beto Abreu, Chief Executive of Suzano

Integrated pulp and paper producer Suzano has reported “a solid second quarter” despite a “volatile market environment”, as net revenue totals R$11.6bn.

Adjusted EBITDA reached R$4.7bn and was driven by higher pulp and paper prices and volumes. Net income totalled R$1.8bn.

Suzano sold 3.3m tonnes of pulp and paper combined in the quarter, comprising 2.9m tonnes of pulp which was -11% year-on-year, and 406 thousand tonnes of paper across the packaging, printing and writing, specialty and tissue segments.

The average net price for pulp sold by Suzano was $599/t, representing an increase of 7% compared to 1Q26 and 8% compared to 2Q25.

The company said the quarter was “marked by foreign exchange headwinds and pressure on input costs driven by higher oil prices affecting the industry as a whole.”

Beto Abreu, Chief Executive of Suzano, said: “We have delivered a solid second quarter in a volatile market environment.

“We remain focused on operational efficiency and deleveraging, which will strengthen our resilience and the company’s competitiveness.

“At the same time, we will focus on capturing value from the investments already made, creating sustainable value for our stakeholders.”

On 1 July 2026, Suzano completed the formation of its joint venture with Kimberly-Clark, focused on the international consumer goods (tissue) business.

It acquired a 51% stake in Arbex, the newly launched global tissue company formed with Kimberly-Clark, with a cash payment of $1.3bn.

Arbex began operations on 1 July 2026 and is focused on manufacturing, marketing and distributing consumer and professional tissue products in over 70 countries.

The company comprises 22 mills across 14 markets.

Arbex’s results will be consolidated into Suzano’s financial statements from the third quarter of 2026 onwards.
