Chinese pulp, paper and tissue producer Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) Co. has invested in an Andritz-supplied complete pulp mill to be erected in Zhangzhou, Fujian province.

Start-up is scheduled for mid-2024 and the scope of supply will include a chip handling plant consisting of eight 360° stacker reclaimer chip storage and chip screening systems.

Each stacker reclaimers will have a capacity of 387,000m3 each and, according to the supplier, are the largest in the world.

The complete fibreline will be fully equipped with Compact Press wash press technology.

Two screening systems for the pulp drying line and for the wet lap and paper machines will also be delivered.

According to Andritz, the biomass gasification plant will be the largest of its kind worldwide feeding a lime kiln burner.

The supply includes the CFB gasification plant with biomass and ash handling systems and a belt dryer.

The biomass feed will be a mixture of eucalyptus and acacia chips and bark.
