French tissue manufacturer MPH1865 has strengthened its presence in the local professional hygiene industry after acquiring Laboratoires Prodene Klint (LPK) for €1.072m.
The move has expanded MPH1865’s production capacity and product portfolio, with the company acquiring LPK’s soap manufacturing machines and the entire range of LPK formulas for sectors including healthcare, food, and biocidal, detergent, and cosmetic products.
Intellectual and industrial property rights associated with these formulas are also included, along with all molds and models needed to produce cartridges and pumps.
The company’s brand portfolio has been expanded to include the SEPTIGEL, KLINT, PREVEN’S, PREVEN’S PARIS, and SPRAYTER range of products.
Marc Miribel, President of MPH1865, said: “This acquisition marks a new milestone for MPH1865, positioning us as a major player in the French professional hygiene market.
“We anticipate an additional revenue potential of €30m in soap manufacturing. “Furthermore, in record time, we addressed the concerns of companies left without solutions due to parent company GOJO LPK’s departure from Europe earlier this year by developing functional alternatives that avoid generating thousands of tons of waste.
“This initiative, expected by both the French and European markets, is projected to generate significant revenue.”
MPH1865 is also offering refills compatible with existing LPK dispensers and has developed soap formulas for hand, body, and hair, antibacterial, and industrial.
The company is also working on a new refill model compatible with both GOJO LPK and MPH1865 dispensers.
To support this growth, MPH1865 has established a dedicated soap department comprising of former GOJO LPK employees.
MPH1865, formerly MP Hygiene, is a French family-owned business founded in 1865 and specialising in the manufacturing and processing of professional hygiene products.
It manufactures paper towels, non-woven wipes, toilet paper, soap, hand sanitiser, and disposable personal protective equipment.
