Georgia-Pacific (G-P) has sold its paper chemicals business to Ecolab.
The transaction is expected to be completed before the end of the year subject to customary closing conditions.
G-P declined to comment on why it was selling the division and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The move will boost chemical supplier Ecolab’s presence in the tissue and packaging industries.
The division supplies products and applications targeting strength, softness and durability.
