Essity is to restructure its consumer tissue production in Spain after announcing plans to close its production facility in La Riba and close one of its tissue machines at its site in Allo.

It said the move was to further increase production efficiencies, to increase cost and capital efficiency, and to bolster its efforts in the consumer tissue segment.

The restructuring measures will be implemented in 2018, with restructuring costs expected to amount to SEK245m.
