China’s Guangxi Sun Paper has invested in two Andritz-supplied PrimeLineTM W 2000 tissue machines to be installed at its new mill in Beihai City, Guangxi Province.
Start-up is planned for 2021, and the lines have a design speed of 2,000m/min and a working width of 5.65m.
The scope of supply includes: a large suction press roll, an 18ft. PrimeDry Steel Yankee with head insulation, a re-evaporation system and FibreSolve FSV pulpers.
In July 2019, Sun Paper established a wholly owned subsidiary – Guangxi Sun Paper – to build an integrated pulp and paper mill in Beihai.
The new greenfield mill will eventually have a total pulp and paper capacity of 3.5m tonnes annually and will be constructed in two phases over five years.
