China’s Gold Hongye Paper Group Co. has started up two Andritz-supplied PrimeRefine HC T refining systems for tissue stock preparation at its Rudong mill in Nantong and its Xiaogan mill in Hubei.
Each PrimeRefine HC T system includes a screw press and a high-consistency refiner.
Compared with conventional low-consistency refining, the machinery supplier said the process “significantly reduces fibre cutting and lowers the content of fines, enabling short fibres to contribute more effectively to sheet strength.”
Andriz said: “This provides tissue producers with an effective solution for optimising fibre furnish while preserving product quality.
“The technology can reduce long-fibre consumption while maintaining or slightly improving key tissue properties, resulting in cost and quality benefits that have led to strong customer recognition and repeat orders.”
Gold Hongye Paper Group Co. is the tissue business unit of APP China.
It is also one of China’s large-scale paper manufacturers operating an integrated forestry–pulp–paper production model.
The group operates 12 manufacturing plants across China and owns major tissue brands.
