Latin America’s Papelera Reyes Peru has expanded its packaging production capabilities in response to increased export opportunity by investing in a raft of IMA TMC-supplied machinery.

The scope of supply includes the delivery of several primary and secondary packaging lines for tissue products, including a wrapper WRAP250 and a bundler CINQUE.

The investment means Papelera Reyes will be able to grow and expand internationally, exporting its products outside of its domestic market.

Eng. Jorge Reyes Araujo, General Manager of Papelera Reyes, said: “In Peru we love football, and we were inspired by football for our slogan: ‘We play at home, so we have to win this match!’, referring to our leadership in the Peruvian market with the goal to replicate that also abroad.

“To make this advance possible, Papelera Reyes has been relying for years on IMA TMC, our strategic partner and supplier of excellent machinery.”

According to supplier IMA TMC, the WRAP250 is “the top of the range wrapper” that it supplies, and it is “capable of processing up to 250 packs per minute, which it said exceeds the average speed of the wrappers currently on the market by up to 25%”.

The WRAP250 can process tissue toilet and kitchen paper rolls in any configuration, from single pack to the largest multi-roll.

It is completed with a CINQUE bundler, IMA TMC’s latest technology. The company said the in-line bundler can process any type of bundles in a compact footprint, from one to three layers, both with Consumer and AfH products.

Papelera Reyes was founded in 2005 when it took over the company that had been operating since 1966 with the Paracas brand of products.
