Kimberly-Clark Corp. (K-C) is said to be exploring options for the sale of its international tissue business according to Bloomberg News, in a deal that could value operations at around $4bn.

The report claims the company is exploring the option to focus on more profitable parts of the business, and is reviewing its tissue operations outside North America, which could lead to a sale of a part or all of the business.

K-C declined to comment when contacted by TWM.

Earlier this year, K-C unveiled the next phase of its growth strategy that it said will “catapult” the company into its next chapter.

It included the plans to reorganise its operations into three business segments in the coming months.

The company said the next phase of growth will include “changes to its operating model and key commercial initiatives that it said are designed to grow its brands and businesses at a faster pace than its categories.”
