Italia Technology Alliance (ITA Holding) has diversified its product offering after acquiring Lucca-based corrugated cardboard box machinery manufacturer Sipack.
Sipack manufactures complete production lines for corrugated cardboard boxes such as case makers, printer-slotters, rotary die-cutters, flexo printers and folder gluers.
The acquisition also expands possibilities for retrofitting existing lines in terms of mechanical components and automation and control systems.
It also boosts ITA Holding’s, and its system integration and automation solutions sister company Sadas’ presence in the industrial automation sector, expanding the company’s portfolio of services beyond the paper and tissue industries
The company’s Smartlogistix offering will fully integrate the intralogistics management of finished corrugated cardboard products through autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs and AMRs), automated warehouses, and related management software.
Mauro Celli, shareholder of ITA Holding, said: “Sipack is a company that over the years, thanks to the disruptive passion and great expertise of its founder and Chief Executive Walter Pacioni, has managed to design, build, and successfully operate machinery for customers demanding top-tier performance.
“I am confident that Sipack’s organisation, supported by the services and expertise of ITA Holding and the other group companies, will be a strong accelerator to reinforce our market offering in terms of products and services.”
Pacioni added: “From the moment I spoke with Alessandro and Mauro Celli of ITA Holding, I realided that my vision for Sipack’s future development had found its match in a group with 80 years of experience in building custom machinery and systems.
“The opportunity to immediately develop synergies in technical, commercial, automation, customer service, and truly integrated solutions for our customers was the boost to define this new set-up.”
Pacioni will serve as Chief Executive of Sipack, supported by the new board of directors which will also include Luca Brugioni, Chief Financial Officer of ITA Holding, and Simone Bertuccelli, Technical Director of A.Celli Nonwovens.
