Double E Group launches Appleton side load slabber.

Double E Group has introduced the Appleton side load slabber into the global tissue converting market.

Appleton’s side load slabber is the newest addition to the company’s line of slabbers and is a self-enclosed, semi-automatic circular blade solution that, according to the business, “dramatically increases the safety and efficiency of slabbing operations.”

Matt Spang, Double E Group’s Vice President of Sales, said: “The Slabber line from Appleton has helped countless companies optimize their waste stream without putting operators at risk of personal injury.

“With this newest addition, Appleton can offer a quick shipping solution for the most common sized applications.”

The operator can load the rolls into the side load slabber and then starts the slabbing process.

The automated circular knife makes multiple passes over the roll cutting away the material. Once the slabbing operation is complete the operator safely removes the shaft and core from the system.

Launch of new and improved RollMover RX roll pusher

The company also announced the launch of its RollMover RX is a powerful roll pusher, with a smaller design for increased mobility and a new power profile.

Powered by a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery for long use, the company said the RollMover RX is smaller and lighter than its predecessor making it easier to handle and manoeuvre but also offering a 35% increase in torque.

RollMover RX’s new power profile offers an increased capacity to move rolls up to 8,000 lbs. across a flat floor or up to 5,500 lbs. into transitions (varies by application).

With a roll diameter range of 16” to 60”, RollMover RX offers the ability to move a greater range of rolls.
