Ipek Kağıt has used Tissue World Istanbul to highlight its recent investments.

The company has over 45 years of tissue making experience using advanced technology to produce high quality products, creating a strong portfolio of finished and semi-finished products.

It said that due to its service, flexibility and a solution-oriented approach, it has built a long-standing partnerships with its customers spanning five continents.

It has recently completed three major investments totalling TRY300m:

  • New investment in Manisa embodies “the newest and most advanced technology in the tissue paper industry”. The most important component of the investment is a new 5.6m wide paper machine, which has increased its capacity by 65% from 110,000 tonnes to 180,000tpy.
  • Second investment in Manisa – Turkey’s first and only bladder pad production plant – will support its entry into the medical hygiene category with a wide array of medical products of international standard for adults with incontinence.New investment in Kazakhstan aims to advance its goal of leadership in Central Asia. Compared to its former plant in Almaty, the company said its new plant in Astana is bigger, better situated and equipped with newer, more efficient technology. Aside from cutting costs, it will also produce a broader range of products that facilitate the company’s expansion in Central Asia through exports to neighbouring countries, including Russia.

İpek Kağıt general manager Sertaç Nişli said: “These new investments have reinforced our quality, technology and innovative power and brought the company closer to its goal of becoming a regional power.

“Since becoming a fully owned Eczacıbaşı Group company in 2012, we achieved a rapid acceleration in growth. We maintained our leadership in Turkey while increasing the number of our international markets to 60 countries across five continents.

“Over the next five years, we aim to maintain this momentum by growing our international sales four-fold and doubling our total revenue.

“Tissue World Istanbul 2016 is a great opportunity for us to meet potential new customers and introduce İpek Kağıt’s capabilities while strengthening our relations with our current business partners.”

The company is also relaunching its Away-from-Home brand Selpak Professional with a complete range of professional tissue paper products designed for diverse customer needs and budgets.

“Reflecting Selpak brand’s reputation for high quality, innovative products, reliability and prestige, Selpak Professional will now offer best-in-class products in each segment of the Away-from-Home tissue paper market under the Premium, Extra and Essential labels,” Nişli said.

New Selpak Professional dispenser series, combining innovative and smart solutions with superior quality products to reduce consumption, can be experienced at the company’s stand, booth C141, during Tissue World Istanbul 2016.
