Some came for a chance to win the drawing for an Apple watch or an iPad, but most of the standing-room-only crowd gathered around the glassed-in machine on the show floor of Tissue World Miami 2018 were there to see speed.

They were packed four deep around the ULTIMA roll wrapper and iTRAK intelligent track system, which is capable of wrapping up to 205 packs per minute, according to Djordje Ckonjevic, sales project manager for STAX.

“The ULTIMA is our latest and the top premium multiwrapper,” said Ckonjevic. “The industry average for these machines is 140 to 150 packs per minute. This machine should not be compared with any other machine in the market.”

Serbia-based STAX Technologies develops automatic equipment for all levels of packaging tissue products, including wrapping, bundling, casing and palletizing. The combination of the ULTIMA with the iTRAK systems creates a flexible, fully integrated motion solution that helps users get more from their machines in a smaller footprint.
