COMPETITION BETWEEN K-C AND
P&G STILL DEFINES MARKET
The competition between Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble
continues to be the most defining characteristic of the
competitive marketplace facing disposable paper products,
according to a new report from Research and Markets.
Of the nine disposable paper products sectors, one of these
companies is the leading manufacturer in seven – all
but cotton wool/buds/pads and paper tableware, says Research
and Markets. The report goes on to say that because the
companies are ranked one and two in four disposable paper
products sectors, their competition for share is fierce.
They often drive innovation in the marketplace as each
attempts to gain share by introducing the newest, most
advanced product. The rapid pace of change that results
has left smaller companies struggling.
