Andritz is showcasing a range of technologies for tissue production – complete tissue lines as well as key components – at Tissue World Milan.

The company is onsite to discuss “sophisticated stock preparation and approach flow systems that process fibres, with optimum effect and according to the individual requirements of the raw material and final product”.

Visitors can learn more about the Andritz ShortFlow concept – which the supplier said is a flexible but simplified and compact process layout with high-level control philosophy.

In refining for example, Andritz showcased the Papillon refiner with its cylindrical refining zone which can be used for gentle fibre treatment in tissue production.

It is also exhibiting the newly developed TwinFlow Strong double-disc refiner which the supplier said “features the highest energy efficiency and an expanded production and operation window”.

Andritz will be also presenting the new, patented PrimeLineTM VRT, a vertical CrescentFormer tissue machine.

It said the line “enables remarkable energy savings as well as higher dryness and bulk”.

For process automation throughout the plant, the ANDRITZ PrimeControl distributed control system (DCS) is designed specifically for tissue machines.

The supplier said it combines low investment cost with easy scaling and a short commissioning period.

Andritz rounded off the exhibition by showcasing its series of high-performance pumps that can be used in different areas of tissue production.
