Cascades Packaging has increased its production capacity after starting-up its PM1 at its Kingsey Falls mill, Canada-based site, following a major rebuild.

Supplied by Toscotec, the project included the rebuild of the dryer section with the installation of TT SteelDryers.

The rebuild aimed to achieve “the highest production increase with the lowest possible impact on the existing machine”.

Toscotec customised its engineering design in order to efficiently integrate its new dryer section into the existing equipment.

Mathieu Gendron, mill manager of Cascades Kingsey Falls, said: “After start-up, we are seeing a promising increase in the production and we are confident that it will match the project targets”.

Established in 1964, Cascades produces, converts and markets packaging and tissue products that are composed mainly of recycled fibres.
