Egypt’s Carmen Tissue, based in 6th October City, Giza, has successfully started up a new pope reel for its existing tissue machine and a new slitter rewinder. Both are from MC Paper Machinery, Paper Division of Massimiliano Corsini srl, Italy.

The pope reel model TR1000 has a design speed of 1000 m/min and max. Wind-up diameter of reels of 2500 mm. The reel change is perfomed in fully automatic mode at desired diameter whose value is set in the control system. The machine width is 1800 mm.

The slitter rewinder model MC10T has an operating (drive) speed of 1000 m/min and max diameter at wind up of 1800 mm. The rewinder is fitted with n.3 peripheral unwind stands, type UW.1/S-1 (single position) and UW.2/S-1 (double position), able to handle mother reels up to 2500 mm diameter. The machine width is 1800 mm. The supply includes also the complete electrical drive, sectional type with AC motors and frequency control, installation, start-up and training of personnel. This rewinder belongs to the same series that includes also the models MC15T and MC18T, having operating speed of 1500 m/min and 1800 m/min respectively and paper width up to 3600 mm.

The installation and start-up of both machines have been succesfully completed respecting the scheduled time and matching immediately the quality standards requested by the customer; MC reports.
