Parkinson Technologies improves surface winding product line

Parkinson Technologies has made numerous technology improvements to its line of surface winding systems that improve performance and reliability , the company says. Parkinson Surface Winding Systems include the Mark II, Mark III, and Mark IV winders and are used in paper and nonwovens industry applications.

These improvements have specifically been made to the company's patented Positran® transfer system, which allows continuous winding during automatic cut-over at full line speeds. They include:
• Dual servo drives have been added for more precise operation and reliability.
• Improved shaft management capabilities have been added for precise control of cut timing for better roll starts.
• The cutter bar on the winder has been redesigned for faster operation, ensuring better cuts at high speeds.

The winders are available for roll widths up to 7 m and speeds up to 900 m/min. They support core sizes up to 305 mm and roll diameters to 1.52 m. The Mark III and Mark IV systems feature multi-drum designs for continuous winding capabilities. More information: call a Parkinson sales executive -+1 401 762-2100.
